Need some starting advice please re bidding.

Dates Nov 12 - 19. Looking at 4 star hotels in ESB, Chelsea or similar - MSG, UWS, UES maybe?? Not sure at what price to start Looking at hotwire offers, I am thinking around $190. Is this too much to start with. Not really fussed about TS area.

I cannot use price bidding - I live in Australia and priceline will only accept USA or Canada billing addresses on cc's.

I'm not seeing a 4.5* in the MTE area when searching for 11/13-19. Are you still seeing it when searching? If so, how many people are you searching for?

I just did the search again - searching for 1 person - it comes up first on the list in my browser.

Have to be quick - it has gone now. There is another 4.5 star in MTE for the 13 - 19 Nov, 1 person, same amenities as above except No Smoking is missing from the list and is now recommended by 90% Hotwire reviews and $329/night.
