Cutetravelbug
Hi, I'm new here and thought I'd enlist this forums help! I'm going to be traveling to Los Angeles this weekend and would like to bid and win a 3 star hotel or better for $100 or less a night. Of course the more I can save the happier I'll be :D I will be renting a car also for the weekend so if there are any tips for that, please share. I'm debating if its even worth bidding on a rental considering the price Ive been finding is about $60 for a compact for 3 days. Since I'll be having a car I'm also concerned about parking and costs at the particular hotel. I plan on visiting downtown LA, Universal Studios and Venice beach etc so I'm okay with staying at a hotel thats relative to any of these areas. thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!I will be renting a car also for the weekend so if there are any tips for that, please share. For help with the Car Rental portion of this trip please post in the Car Rental section of the board.Since I'll be having a car I'm also concerned about parking and costs at the particular hotel. With PRICELINE you need to be able to accept any hotel in the zone you select and there is no way to know the fee for parking (if any) before your purchase. With HOTWIRE, some hotels show a 'Free Parking' amenity listed which will ensure that the hotel does not charge for parking OR you can also use the amenities shown to take an educated guess as to the property offered and then research to see how much parking is (of course this assumes you guess the hotel correctly). The trade-off is that PRICELINE is usually a little cheaper than HOTWIRE, but with HOTWIRE you know if the hotel offers free parking or not beforehand (which when including parking fees may end up being cheaper than a PRICELINE hotel that does charge for parking)Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
