MegaMan Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 Hello!Looks like my friends are I are finally going back to Vegas. We're looking to go on the November 2nd weekend as the prices seem favorable to our budget. I'm looking to identify this hotel: If I had to guess, it sounds like Vdara. Also, it's probably going to be 6 of us (that's why we want a suite) and will need 2 beds. I believe 2 beds aren't guaranteed right? What can we do to get 2?5-star Hotel in The Strip - SouthThis Hotel features the following amenities:Suite A guestroom designed for an extended stay and/or that is more spacious than the average hotel room. Suites typically offer residential-style furnishings, as well as separate living and sleeping areas; some also offer kitchenettes.Smoke Free Rooms Guest rooms at this hotel are always smoke-free.Fitness Center Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply.Pool(s) Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal.Restaurant(s) Property offers at least one restaurant on the premises; hours and days of operation may vary.Business Center Guests have access to business equipment and services; an additional charge may apply.High-Speed Internet Access Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply.Golf Nearby Property is located within walking distance or a short drive of at least one golf course; an extra charge typically applies.Spa Services Guests have access to a spa facility or spa services; an extra charge typically applies.Accessible for the blind Braille or raised signageAccessible for the deaf TTY for telephone, visual or flashing fire alarm and vibrating alarm clockFree Parking <amenity names only please... not descriptions>Free Internet <amenity names only please... not descriptions>Accessible path of travel <amenity names only please... not descriptions>In-room accessibility Accessible path from the room entrance to the window, the bed and the bathroom; accessible hardware and minimal resistance to open the door; accessible temperature controls and window coveringsAccessible bathroom Raised toilet, hand-held shower and grab bars at the tub and toiletRoll-in shower Bathroom has a roll-in shower
AaronJB Posted October 5, 2012 Report Posted October 5, 2012 Are you searching for 2rooms/6a when searching for the above? If you are searching for more than 2 per room, you should get *bedding* for the party; that can be 2 beds or 1 + sofabed or 1 + rollaway. The above would likely be the Vdara.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

MegaMan Posted October 5, 2012 Author Report Posted October 5, 2012 Nope just searching for 2. Searching for more gives me more expensive results. Searching for 3 gets me 170 a night, 4 gets me 195 a night....Thinking of just tipping when checking in to make sure I get two beds.

MegaMan Posted October 16, 2012 Author Report Posted October 16, 2012 Hello! So I have a similar thread on the Hotwire side for a 5 star hotel. Not sure if I should make this thread or keep it all on that one. Anyways, looking for a 5 star hotel (NOT the Trump) that's hopefully cheaper than what Hotwire currently offers (around $155). Hopefully Priceline will take a lower bid. What would be a good starting bid considering Hotwire is offering 5 star hotels at 155?If I understand it correctly, I can start low, get rejected, then increase by $5 as long as I include another zone that doesn't have a 5 star hotel right? In that case I should be able to add most of these zones without worrying I'll get stuck with a lower hotel since the strip is the only one with a 5 star Hotel. AaronJB Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 PRICELINE only guarantees 1 bed/double occupancy and this is particularly true in Vegas, where there have been a number of reports of users being charged more or denied at 4/5* properties in terms of getting two beds. Would the risk of one bed be acceptable?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
MegaMan Posted October 17, 2012 Author Report Posted October 17, 2012 One bed is fine, we've come to terms with that.
