Turned out to be the Best Western Airvenice (actually in Quarto D'Altino).

What was your bid price?

I was there several years ago, and there was good inexpensive train transportation into Venice.

Also, if you want to go further out in the area, Trieste is an interesting and charming town and (at least when I was there) could be easily reached by train. Made a nice day trip.
