This weekend was crazy to try to find hotel room availability in downtown Toronto. Prices definitely reflect it.

Can you please double check the amenities that were associated with the hotel you purchased as it think there may have been more than just those you posted above. A current HOTWIRE search for your dates shows a 3* hotel for $237/nite in this zone with:
