Priceline Hotel: 3* Ottawa - Hull (Ottawa) Marriott

As mentioned in an earlier post - I was trying to bid three-nights Aug. 16 - 19 at first but no luck, so I shortened my stay to Aug. 16 - 18 and got the Courtyard.

I know I could have done "Add a night" on the Courtyard bid, but I thought the $48 was a little high and inventory might have been more open on a Thursday, so I did a separate bid...

1st Bid - 2.5* Ottawa DT @ $44 = Declined with $12 Counter-Offer

2nd Bid - 2.5* added Hull @ $46 = Accepted at 3* Marriott Ottawa

In almost two-years of hotel stays in this area I've never had a winning bid for the Marriott, so I will post a review after my stay.

The best rate on the Marriott site is $169.00 (CDN)/$141.21 (US) per night plus tax...Great Deal.

I figure anything I lost in the extra PL fee I paid, I made up for with the bump to the better 3* hotel at $2 less than the other bid.

Congratulations on something new... i supposed you're looking forward to it.

This is also a good example to others of how priceline has to have inventory at the same hotel for every nite of your stay... otherwise your bid will be rejected. Nice to see this sold nite cheaper than your other two and at a higher star rating!
