I'm back after a long absence -- so long I completely forgot my old login. :D

Anyways, I just won this Hyatt McCormick property for 10/13/12 using "greater Chicago" + 4* + $64. Was $81.xx with taxes and fees (27% ouch!).

Just for comparison, I did a standard search on the Holiday Inn website for their Express property 8 miles due south off I-80 -- $147/night+tax  Ummm, I don't need the free breakfast that bad

This Hyatt McCormick price is a stunning deal even with the tax hit! Its not the $39 I use to get at Hyatt Place in 2009 @ Oakbrook by using betterbidding but can't complain at all. We will ask for the North City view and see if we get it!

Welcome (back) to BetterBidding!

Congratulations on your success!

An excellent deal for this property. The PRICELINE reservation 'taxes and fees' line item includes their booking fee, which comes to about $8/nite. This is about 15% on a $64 booking which is why the 'taxes and fees' seems high, it actually includes their booking fee (mathematically on a higher priced hotel room the fee makes up a smaller percentage of the overall total)
