curlysue Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 Hello,I'm new at this.I have a current booking with The Cosmopolitan but would like to see if I get a lower rate. I see Aria and Vdara are 2 other 5 star properties in the South Vicinity. How likely is it that I will get The Cosmopolitan if I make a bid??Looking at 23-27 December.
curlysue Posted October 11, 2012 Author Report Posted October 11, 2012 Also, what roomtype would I be getting if I won The Cosmopolitan - the cheapest room available, ie City Room?
AaronJB Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding.Bidding on PRICELINE is about getting a discounted rate on *a* hotel; using it when strongly hoping to get specific hotel is setting up for disappointment. One has to be willing to accept *any* hotel in the zone/s chosen at the star rating chosen. You can look into HOTWIRE to see if the hotel you are looking for is showing, but there is no guarantee - only one hotel shows at each star rating for each set of dates, and it may not be the hotel you are looking for. There are other factors at play, as well (some hotels may appear with the same features, etc.)HOTWIRE and PRICELINE reservations are for a basic, non-upgraded room, which is a trade-off for the discounted rates. What would be your desired budget per night for this stay?
thereuare Posted October 12, 2012 Report Posted October 12, 2012 ... and if you haven't yet, please read your messages. What is the rate you have at the Cosmopolitan? Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
