I am having a difficult time getting a 4* in Manhattan at $200 despite much lower bids being accepted every week except this one. Anyone with any insight, your thoughts would be appreciated! bophisto Posted October 10, 2012 Report Share Posted October 10, 2012 There is the CMJ Music Marathon. http://www.cmj.com/marathon/ Supposed to be hundreds of thousands of people for that.I also found prices to be crazy....I booked a place in Long Island City (directly through hotel)..but I have a situation where I need two beds in the room. Otherwise I'd do PRICELINE. I heard it is sometimes hard to get a room with two beds in NYC... Link to comment

Joshdent Posted October 14, 2012 Author Report Share Posted October 14, 2012 Very happy with the result- this is one of the hotels that I was hoping to get, and a big savings compared to the $429 direct booking price or $360 cheapest Internet deal I found. Slightly frustrated that the one weekend I have commitments to be in NYC seems to be the most expensive weekend to stay in a hotel in Manhattan, but C'est la Vie! I was trying for Midtown East or ESB (didn't want the Sheraton so avoided MTW) and did $10 increments from 120 up. I apologize for forgetting to use the better bidding portal window and will remember to do so next time! Link to comment
