I am having a difficult time getting a 4* in Manhattan at $200 despite much lower bids being accepted every week except this one. Anyone with any insight, your thoughts would be appreciated! (Should I avoid NYC that weekend?)

Otherwise I'd do PRICELINE. I heard it is sometimes hard to get a room with two beds in NYC...

Joshdent Posted October 14, 2012 Author Report Posted October 14, 2012 Very happy with the result- this is one of the hotels that I was hoping to get, and a big savings compared to the $429 direct booking price or $360 cheapest Internet deal I found. Slightly frustrated that the one weekend I have commitments to be in NYC seems to be the most expensive weekend to stay in a hotel in Manhattan, but C'est la Vie! I was trying for Midtown East or ESB (didn't want the Sheraton so avoided MTW) and did $10 increments from 120 up. I apologize for forgetting to use the better bidding portal window and will remember to do so next time!
