tzclark Posted October 9, 2012 Report Posted October 9, 2012 Hey guys, this is my first post here, we are heading to NYC and are looking for a possible deal on a room.Ok, need some help, my wife and I are going to New York Nov 27 - Dec 1 and are wanting to stay in the Manhattan area. We are hoping to get into a 4* but not really sure where to start bidding at, we are OK Chelsea, Mid Town East and West and Empire areas. I don't really have much of a budget but I wouldnt mind saving some money and am OK with taking a little bit of a gamble. I read some of the strategies to do multiple bids in one day so I'll be trying those methods.
AaronJB Posted October 9, 2012 Report Posted October 9, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Unfortunately, this is really just about the busiest period of the Winter (at least traditionally), with people coming for shopping/holiday festivities. What would be your desired budget per night for this stay?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
tzclark Posted October 9, 2012 Author Report Posted October 9, 2012 Aaron, thats what I found out when looking for prices. I was thinking in the $300 dollar range, my problem is that there are hotels I could reserve for that price right now however the rooms are so small, you need to leave the suitcase in the hallway :). The prices range from 289 to 600+ for hotels that are 4* which doesn't make me confident bidding. I am new to this so maybe I am missing something.
thereuare Posted October 9, 2012 Report Posted October 9, 2012 HOTWIRE has a 4* hotel in the ESB zone for $231/nite with: Free Internet Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed InternetBest guess for this property would be the St Giles The Court, which has not been seen on PRICELINE as a win since their conversion from a W Hotel a couple of years ago, so this is likely not something available thru PRICELINE.Does this HOTWIRE offer work fro your needs and budget as i think this is currently the best deal for your dates. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
