hockeyfan12 Posted October 8, 2012 Report Posted October 8, 2012 ResortsSmoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Tennis Nearby Children's Activity Program Bed choice offered. Dates: dec 21 to 23Price: 102.57 cdnAny thoughts? Could be W or Westin?Note - When I search for 3 people to a room, or two rooms with 5 people (i.e. 2 in one room, 3 in another) the price (with same amenities) increases to 131/night. And then no bed choice offered. I need two rooms for 5 people.
hockeyfan12 Posted October 9, 2012 Author Report Posted October 9, 2012 Further consideration leads me to believe this is the Westin. Are there any other hotels this may be?
thereuare Posted October 9, 2012 Report Posted October 9, 2012 Please change the currency drop down menu on the top right of HOTWIRE's page to US Dollars (and if applicable the country to United States). Then continue to search HOTWIRE and post to the board in US Dollars so that rates are consistent and not subject to interpretation due to future currency fluctuation. Once you're ready to purchase simply change the drop down menu to whatever currency you'd like to use and complete your purchase. Please click each of these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links, then reply to this thread with the room rate in US Dollars, and we will have a look at the offer above. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and your searches too! Thanks. hockeyfan12 Posted October 9, 2012 Author Report Posted October 9, 2012 Thanks. Used your HOTWIRE link.1 room, 2 people - US$103/room. Bed choice continues to be offered. 2 rooms, 3 people - US$132/room.
AaronJB Posted October 9, 2012 Report Posted October 9, 2012 If you scroll over 'see all' next to the listing, are you seeing additional amenities beyond the ones above? If so, please provide the complete list here. I'm guessing both results you are seeing (with 1/2 and 2 rooms/5 people) are the same listing, but the third person in the one room is causing the higher rate.) I'm seeing the same listing when searching for 1/2, 2/4adults and 2/5 adults, but it's the same price per night with 1/2 and 2/4, it's the 2/5 that is more expensive. I'm guessing the listing is likely the Westin.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
hockeyfan12 Posted October 9, 2012 Author Report Posted October 9, 2012 Thanks. I agree with you logic. The plan - if we decide to book - would be to (use your links and) book one room for two people and then one room for three people, so as to not pay the higher rate for both rooms. And yes, additional amenities as follows:Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower
AaronJB Posted October 9, 2012 Report Posted October 9, 2012 Thank you for the reply with additional amenities; the only concern with buying both rooms separately is that HOTWIRE inventory can change very quickly and there is the possibility that there may only be one discount room left when you are ready to buy, or a different hotel may start to appear for your dates when searching for 3 in one room versus 2 in one room (as it's not unusual for different hotels to appear when changing up the amount of people in the room.)Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Joesh Posted October 22, 2012 Report Posted October 22, 2012 Hey did you ever book this hotel? I'm seeing a similar thing for the dates I'm looking to book for 2 nights. Exact same ameneties and same price, just different dates. Did you book? Was it the Westin? Bed choice available. 95% Reviews
