I clicked on the links, a friend of mine has used your services before and he told me that he got great info, and be sure that I use the links from your page when I book. I will do that when I am ready to book. Thanks

I'm seeing the same hotel as the OP with just the two amenities.

This property has not yet been reported to the board, but my best guess would be the Anaheim Carriage Inn, although i'll add that i'd be very careful with one for if i am correct, this has a very low 2.0/5.0 TA rating, so i wouldn't expect too much.

What is your maximum bid for this trip?

I just don't think its worth it to save $24.00 total on a unknown motel.

It probably isn't worth the risk for this hotel given the known 2.0/5.0 TA rating.

Based upon your comments i assume you'll be staying at a 2* hotel for ~$50/nite? While deals can be has at all star levels, realize that it's easier for a $100 hotel to discount rates 50% then it is for a $50 hotel to drop rates 30%... both hotels have the similar fixed costs (real estate, electricity, water, etc.) but the $100 hotel has more margin available to discount to $50... whereas the $50 hotel doesn't have much room too go too much lower. Therefore, the 'sweet spot' is usually at the higher rated hotels.

For example, assuming i'm right that you're going to a 2* motel for $50/nite... HOTWIRE has a 4* hotel for $75/nite. While this 4* hotel is more expensive in dollars terms then the 2* motel you're considering, many would consider the 4* at $75 to be a better value. However, it does come down to what you expect from your hotel and what type of experience it is that you're looking for. This 4* hotel (which i haven't tried to identify yet) is a Suite, is recommended by 95% of previous HOTWIRE guests, has 4.5/5.0 ratings across the board for all the criteria HOTWIRE asks for feedback on, and a very good 4.0/5.0 TA rating. So even if this hotel would be 'unknown', you can pretty much be assured that it's a 'good' property and you should have an enjoyable stay (as did the 95% of previous guests who recommend it)

Lastly, i will add that this property i'm referring to also shows the new 'Risk Free Booking' that HOTWIRE is showing for some properties (at least on my search, it seems to come and go sometimes, and you would need to have it appear on your search in order to be eligible) where you can cancel and get a refund within 24 hours of booking (as long as it's at least days prior to your arrival).

So ultimately there is value thru the opaque services, but it just doesn't seem to be so at the 2* level for your dates for this trip, but for a bit more money you could likely dramatically improve the quality of your stay, imo.

Good luck and let us know if we can be of any further help.
