gladd06 Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 Hi!I'll be visiting NYC next weekend could use some help with a Priceline bidding strategy. I'm pretty sure I understand the concept, but a little help from the pros never hurts.. Looking for a 3 - 4 star hotel hopefully around $150/night. Not sure if this is even possible, but as I understand most rooms are cheaper on the weekends. Would prefer Times Square, Chelsea, or SoHo areas, but really wouldn't mind any area of Manhattan, south of Central Park. Thanks for your help in advance!G
thereuare Posted October 5, 2012 Report Posted October 5, 2012 Are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3.5* vs. a 3*... OR is your goal the least expensive 3* or better for this trip?Do you only want to start with Times Square, Chelsea, or SoHo and then add other zones if you're rejected up to your budget... OR does price prevail and the least expensive hotel (at your minimum star level) in any acceptable zones is what you're seeking? If the latter, please include all acceptable zones by PRICELINE name.Let us know the above and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
