August 28 - September 1

Niagara Falls 4*

1st attempt $81.00 - rejected

2nd attempt $90.00 rejected

3rd attempt $96.00 rejected

4th try $101.00 rejected (thanks for the closing the browser tip on try #3 to get this 4th try)

What is funny is the suggested rate on priceline for a 4* 8/28 - 31 is $161 and when I added in September 1st it goes up to $262 but when I check all other hotel sites the rates stay the same for Wednesday if any day is different it usually is the 28th which is a Sunday.

Hotwire has 4* for $110 what I think is the Hilton. I may try priceline again if not just go with hotwire.

I will keep you posted.

Thanks to all those that answer, this site is AWESOME!

Don't you have a similar PRICELINE WIN for these dates 'ex' 8/31?

I would consider SPLITTING THE BID if your plans allow... bidding 8/28-8/31 which, based upon your previous win you should be able to win between $76-$91. Assuming you once again receive the Renaissance, you could then either try for the last nite via Priceline or book direct thru the Renaissance website for $125US for the last nite.

Assuming the above goes without any problems it would be cheaper than what you've already bid for this stay.

Let us know your thoughts and/or how it goes.

my first bid was for family we were going with. I could not bid together as we wanted to stay that extra night.

Buying the extra room is a good idea on renaissance website it is going for 135cad. funny when I originally checked it was going for 175.00 us .

Thanks for your help will keep you posted.

I tried again with all 4 nights going up to $100 no luck

I tried with just the first three nights going up to $100 with no luck - I actually won the first three nights for $91 last week and the suggested price went from $161 for the first 3 nights to $262 for all 4 nights and now it fell to $148 so I was expecting to win for less than the $91 I was paying on the other. I started at around $78 and went up to $100 over 4 bids (through savingsbarn.com) with no luck.

Does anyone know if there is anyplace I can get the embassy suites for less than the 177-185 they are posting on their direct website?
