nickjyhong Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 Looking for a 3.5*-4* hotel in MTW or MTE or Times Square for 2-nights 10/5-10/7. I went through my usual re-bid process and got all the way up to $185before calling it a day. Think I'm shooting too low for this weekend in Manhattan? I remember I usually got deals around $150-180 range for 3.5* - 4* for weekends. Can anyone help me out?
nickjyhong Posted October 4, 2012 Author Report Posted October 4, 2012 Like i've been trying to get the bid from Monday and haven't been able to get one.Can anyone please help me out ASAP?
thereuare Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 I went through my usual re-bid process...If you're a veteran bidder and have had any wins in the last year and a half since joining the board, it would be appreciated if you began to share your results so that the information can help other users. As far as your bidding for this weekend goes, based upon current prices i don't think you're bidding high enough. Using MAPS and HOTELS.com what is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable property thru non-opaque channels? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Kate. Posted October 5, 2012 Report Posted October 5, 2012 Hotels for this weekend are unusually expensive. I'm not sure what's going on, but hotels are charging more for rooms, friends/family rates aren't accepted, availability is low, etc. Try a higher bid - we bid on priceline at $200 and got a room.
