Hotwire Hotel: 3* New York City (Midtown Central) Ameritania Hotel

Hi again,

After waiting patiently for a while, I finally booked a hotel through HOTWIRE (using BB's link). I got the Ameritania, which has a good location.

The amenities list was really short- only high speed internet, but recommendations were 90% (by the way, now it says 'still gathering reviews'... )

Anyway, I'm pretty happy with it and hopefully I won't end up in a really small room.

Is anybody familiar with this hotel?

If you're interested in a cheap dinner (or some 'munchie' food after a few late nite drinks) you're right down the block from the famous

. You want the cart that is there from 7:30pm-4:00am... load it up with some white sauce but use the hot sauce very sparingly as it's the spiciest thing i've probably ever eaten... best $6 meal in the city and almost always a long line (and worth checking it out even just to see the 'scene' of people waiting for dinner from a cart)
