YoMoma
Hello, new to the board here.Still trying to get the gist of how to use this site.I`m wanting to get the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Chicago for the dates of Nov 2nd thru the 4th.I`m kinda particular to the hotel I want only because I think it is pretty well centrally located to all we want to see and do in Chicago.Of course we want to visit Navy Pier, Cloud gate, Shedd Aquarium, Willis Tower. We will be coming into town by Amtrak so we wont have a vehicle on this trip.Do I need to post my findings on what Hotwire has available for me, and then members will tell me what hotel they think it is?Thanks Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. Both discount services are more about getting *a* hotel for a discount than a *specific* hotel, although if you do happen to get a hotel you do like, all the better. There is no way to guarantee or increase the odds of a particular property with either service, especially with PRICELINE. With HOTWIRE, one can make an educated guess as to which hotels are showing, but only one hotel shows at each star rating in each zone for each set of dates, and it may not be the hotel you are looking for. There is a list of properties that have been reported to the board on HOTWIRE or PRICELINE linked at the top of every state subforum. If you need help confirming a listing on HOTWIRE, please provide the date/s of travel, star rating, complete list of amenities showing with the listing, price and zone.I'd also skip Navy Pier in general, although especially in November.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. vinhtran
Navy Pier was great to kill time at, but I wasn't very impressed with the attractions there when I went. Link to comment
