Hi I'm planning on visiting NYC for the first time, however I'm a student and poor so I'd like to spend as little as possible (<$100) per night if possible. I'm considering staying in NJ and then riding public transportation in. Any suggestions on regions to bid and how much? Thanks!

Unfortunately sub-$100 this time of year puts you out of the range for the Jersey City/Hoboken zone. To weigh your other options, please let us know if you have a car? (i understand you're not driving to Manhattan, but in some instances you may need to drive to a Park N Ride and/or train station/bus stop)
