Priceline Hotel: Looking for 4* Hotel in NYC

Hi,

I have been bidding for a few days now with maximum bid of $155 without any luck. From other threads, I see that $105 is a reasonable price for a week day stay, bottle neck seem to be the saturday. What are your suggestions to win the bid? Thanks!

The designated areas are: Chelsea, Financial District, LES, MTE, MTW, SoHo, ESB.

Just to confirm, is $155 your maximum desired budget per night, or is that the top you've bid to at this point (or both?) Rates are on the high side for these dates, although the second half is somewhat better. Would splitting your stay be acceptable?

$155 would be the max I am looking to spend and also the max I have bidded for. Splitting it would be an alternative as well. Thank you in advance!

I don't think you're budget is likely going to be enough for these dates, and even if SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID it may not likely be enough. The dates you probably have the best chance with are 10/12-10/15, but even if successful for these dates (which is still very far from a sure thing) you'll probably have trouble getting anything under $150 for the remaining nites, and it would also involve three different hotels during this stay.

Using MAPS and HOTELS.com what is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable 4* hotel in one of these zones for these dates (or even a subset of these dates)?
