Priceline Hotel: 3.5* St. Louis (Downtown) Sheraton Saint Louis City Center

I am planning on staying one night downtown and catching the Cards this Fri. Any suggestions on price to enter in Priceline for a 3.5 to 4 star to be successful? I bid 45 hoping to get the Hyatt . Unfortunately tat didn't work. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Yes, I would pay more. Maybe up to 75 if I could get a good 4 star, and less for a 3.5. I just would like a nice place that is convenient to the ball game. Thank you very much for your suggestions .

Thanks for letting me know. I may need to change my plan. That is out of budget. Does anyone have an idea about what I should bid for a 3.5?

Do note that rily471's priceline bidding is for 2 nites, 9/28-9/30, whereas your bidding is just for one nite, 9/28, so not a direct apples-to-apples comparison.

Using MAPS and HOTELS.com what is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable property?

EDIT TO ADD: just did some research and the Taste of St. Louis is this weekend and that is likely the reason for the very high rates and low availability

Yep, mine is for 2 nights, but i jsut bid $95/night and got rejected

As I posted in the other topic, I just had a bid accepted for 9/28 at the 4* Hyatt Regency for $85.

I was not successful for 85 on a 4 star. I bid 89 on a 3.5 and got the Sheraton. I'm a little bummed about the property, but it will be fine. Now, I just need to figure out reasonable overnight parking. Thanks for all of the input!

the sheraton is actually really nice there! i think it is my Sat night stay that is causing me all these options with bigging over $100 and still not getting accepted :(
