Priceline Hotel: Need Advice for San Fran 11/8 to 11/10

I need help for booking a 4 star room in San Fran for Nov 8th to Nov 10th.

I noticed that people have previously booked rooms for around $120 for a 4 star. I tried the methodology and maximized my bids based on the zones and the amount I am comfortable with paying.

Is there an event going on that weekend? Is there a 'preferred' time or day of the week to try this?

Aiming for USW, USW, SOMA or the financial district. maxed out my options with japantown, civic center and the fisherman's wharf. no luck.

Looking for a room less than $140 after bidding.

Is this possible for those dates?
