A *guess* is that this may be the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center.

I have been to the hotel numerous times for meetings and live locally-parking is paid as far as I know and internet access is complimentary (none of these match with the description provided). This is otherwise a very historic hotel and walking distance to all the downtown restaurants.

Sheraton (close to the airport) has a airport shuttle -its 3.5 star( but a possibility as hotwire ranking maybe different)
