thereuare Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding! Not sure what your options are besides lower your star rating.FYI, Marina-Seaside is technically not a re-bid zone since it has Resort class properties. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
mgaebler Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 Can you elaborate on why "Marina-Seaside is technically not a re-bid zone since it has Resort class properties."? I'm not sure if I understand. Feel free to point me to a post that explains this. I bid today and added it, and it seemed to treat is like a rebid (although I was unsuccessful)
mgaebler Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 Oh wait, I may have answered my own question regarding "Marina-Seaside is technically not a re-bid zone since it has Resort class properties."I think it's not a "re-bid" because if, for example, you are bidding only on 4* and you add a zone with no 4* but that is designated a resort, they can stick you in a resort. So, you get to re-bid, but it's not "free" because you can get stuck in that zone. Is that it?
freecia Posted September 4, 2005 Author Report Posted September 4, 2005 I went with a backup reservation which was $140 a night. We stayed at the Olympia Lodge in Pacific Grove which was nice and about as much as the winning bids on priceline.
