Priceline's list price for Loews for our dates was $229.

Since I had $7 bonus dollars per night from a promotion, I decided to start my bids at $84 for a $91 net bid (roughly 60% off list price) in the Midtown zone only.

It took several attempts using one dollar increments and adding zones without four-star hotels in them before Priceline accepted my $93 ($100 net) bid. I never had to add another 4-star zone.

I'm very happy since Loews was my #1 target.

The best pre-paid price I had found over a couple weeks of looking was $155 and the cheapest fully refundable rate was almost $200. That means I saved at least $200 over the course of the stay by using Priceline.
