Layleh_22 Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 Hi, I have been trying all day to figure out the best approach to getting the best/cheapest hotel in NYC and have found this Web site very helpful. However, before I jump in and try bidding on a hotel I wanted guidance from the pros.I am looking for a 3.5* - 4* hotel (obviously I would prefer 4*) for under $200 for one night, 10/20 (check out 10/21).We are looking to stay in either TS or MTW, but if we have to, would consider MTE.Any guidance or strategy would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!!
thereuare Posted September 25, 2012 Report Posted September 25, 2012 You may ultimately need to include other zones than those above, but we can start with the following:When bidding 3.5* and 4* in NYC you have SIX re-bid zones. Layleh_22 Posted October 10, 2012 Author Report Posted October 10, 2012 I ended up having to come up in price to stay in the area I wanted. I booked the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers (4*) in Midtown West for $240. Total for the night was $297 - can't complain since at the time the lowest published rate was ~$360.Thanks for all your help - this site really made the difference in my strategy!
