Does Hotwire have to reveal these added costs, like they do "resort" fees? Thanks!
thereuare Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 Best guess for this property would be the Palisades at Lake Austin Grande Reserve.I don't know of anything that states that cleaning fees have to be disclosed (nor do Resort fees, but HOTWIRE includes this as a courtesy for most properties), but i don't know of any situations reported to the board where a user has indicated that they were charged a cleaning fee upon departure (Resort fees still do apply, for which it indicates this condo charged ~$10/day)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
123slb Posted October 22, 2012 Author Report Posted October 22, 2012 Well, the party I was traveling with ended up booking at Caribe Cove for a 3-bedroom condo for three nights at a nightly rate varying from $88 to $109 plus additional $75 cleaning fee. Total cost around $445 after taxes. Booked directly with the management and received a comfortable unit in Bldg one with a north view of pine forest. Easy check in, very quiet and our only problems were tiny sugar ants in the kitchen, an ice maker that was frozen in a solid block of ice and a master bath exhaust fan that did not function.
