Romelle Posted January 12, 2013 Report Posted January 12, 2013 Priceline tends to be a bit less expensive than Hotwire, and also Hotwire is a little bit more generous with its stars than Priceline is. Consequently, bidding via Priceline can save a little and/or one can get a nicer place for the same money. But one has to be willing to take more of a chance on Priceline than Hotwire, since it is not possible to "guess" at the hotel ahead of time. And of course with Priceline you won't be able to select for certain specific amenities. Those 3*s you are looking at on Hotwire (or similar hotels) might be obtained for less via bidding on Priceline. RomellePS - Hotwire offers change regularly. If you see something with all the features you like and the price is right - don't hesitate too long. On the other hand, if one vanishes - wait a bit and it well may come back. A big basis for the identification is the Hotel Lists at the very beginning of the Hotwire - Florida area. If you've got a match on amenities, it is likely that will be the hotel you will get. Of course thereuare and aaronJB have additional information and experience, but sometimes one can do it and then quickly accept an offer.
