Priceline Hotel: San Francisco Hotel for 10/5- 10/7

Hey Everyone,

I am planning to go to the San Francisco area for the CAL-UCLA game... Will be there 10/5-10/7. We want to stay where we can easily walk to BART (Public transportation), so therefore are looking at the main downtown area (union square, financial district...)

Any suggestions on bidding areas as well as strategy would be appreciated.

Would like a decent hotel 4*, 3 1/2*, or even 3*. Price range= <$150 would be preferred (but I keep seeing things close to $200)

These do appear to be difficult/expensive dates and under $150 may be difficult, but to give it a try let us know which zones, by PRICELINE name, are acceptable as well as what star rating and maximum bid you'd like to try for first, we'll then suggest a strategy for you to follow.

Thanks I actually decided to go with the Walnut creek area, and think I have decided between two hotels (walnut creek marriot and embassy suites). So probably will have to skip using PRICELINE since I cant get any guarantee on those hotels and we need to be right by public transportation.
