c_ximinez Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 We're coming to Pittsburgh for the Steelers game on Monday night, which of course makes the hotels that much more expensive. Expedia prices were at least $230 for 3 stars and above. We wanted to stay downtown to be close to the stadium. There was a 3.5 star property on hotwire for $172 which looked like the Wyndham Grand that I thought about buying but I went to priceline in case I could get something cheaper. I started out looking at 4 star properties bidding in $10 increments from $100 up to $150 adding zones along the way, making sure downtown would be the only one that could hit. after $150 i switched to 3.5 stars (the next day) starting at $130. When I got to $150 ($353 total for the trip) I got the hit at the Wyndham ($268/night on Expedia). I'm sure it will work out well for our trip. Thanks Betterbidding! used the PRICELINE link here for my searches
