franklinmint Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 Looking to book a hotel in San Juan for Oct 4th- Oct 7th. Hoping for a resort. Was just going to book El San Juan but then remembered this site and thought I'd give it a try. Sector #9 is the area I'd like to stay in. Going over the Priceline site I relized once they accept your card is charged and no way to switch it. Don't have the card I'd like it to be charged on in such a senario so will have to wait till I get home. Figured I try here as a starting point. Any advice or tips are welcome. Thanks.

franklinmint Posted September 24, 2012 Author Report Posted September 24, 2012 I'm up to $85 and still rejected but they tell me to add $26 and I can rebid right away? Does that mean they will accept that bid most likely? Another question I had is about the type of room you get. How do you know the bed situation and things like that? Don't want to get stuck w one king bed for three guys.
franklinmint Posted September 24, 2012 Author Report Posted September 24, 2012 Ended up getting booked at the Hilton Caribe for $90. Not too bad...anyone have any reviews or tips on the place? I hear mixed reviews on everything from resort fees to quailty of hotel...thereuare, read your review, thanks for the help.
thereuare Posted September 25, 2012 Report Posted September 25, 2012 Congratulations on your success! This hotel was built in stages and the rooms get remodeled in stages as well, so there is varying quality between the different towers. The grounds are kept immaculate and the pool area is great... the beach is man made and more of a lagoon, so not your typical crystal blue waters and waves that you might expect from a 'beach'. Overall, a great deal at this rate, imo.Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay.
