AaronJB Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)In terms of which hotels are possible, there is a list of hotels at the top of each state sub-forum. The list of PRICELINE properties reported to the board in Illinois can be found here: Priceline Hotel List. What would be your desired budget per night for this stay? Additionally, PRICELINE only guarantees one bed/double occupancy; two beds can be requested with the hotel. This is likely less of an issue with suburban hotels, but there is still the risk. HOTWIRE is a better choice in this case, as you can indicate the amount of people in the room and guarantee some form of bedding for the entire party.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
T Man821 Posted September 19, 2012 Author Report Posted September 19, 2012 Thanks for the quick response and priceline hotel list.Looks like there are 3 hotels with a 4* rating. Westin (Lombard); Hyatt Lodge or Renaissance. The latter 2 were previously listed as 3* but have now been moved up to 4*. I cant seem to find anything on the renaissance. Not sure if it is now closed. We would be looking to spend from $100 to $125 if there is good feedback on all 3. Any tips on what we should bid? Thanks for your help.T
T Man821 Posted September 19, 2012 Author Report Posted September 19, 2012 Hi folksHotwire is listing a 4* hotel in the Downers Grove/Oak Brook area for $90 for our visit from Thurs Sept 20 to Sunday Sept 23.Amenities include: Indoor Pool; Smoke Free Rooms; Indoor Fitness Centre; Restaurant; Business Centre; Golf Nearby; Tennis Nearby; High Speed Internet; Free Parking.Any guesses on which this would be??Thanks in advance for the help.T
AaronJB Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 This listing has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board. It may be a downgraded Westin, or a different property not yet reported to the board. However, it does get solid reviews from Tripadvisor reviewers, as well as HOTWIRE customers.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
