chapel29 Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 Been trying Priceline for a 3 star in the Cocoa Beach, FL area for 11/3/12 to 11/4/12 (Saturday night)started low at $65 and am up to $85 with no luck. Priceline is showing normal rates at around $129 for 3 stars in the area. Am willing to go up to $100 for beachfront but am starting to wonder if I am barking up the wrong tree with this area. I do not see very many "wins" for this area in my research.I have also tried 2.5 star in the same area up to $75 trying for the La Quinta Beachfront (Normal rates are around $119)I have been using the links from your site for all bidding. Is this just a tough area, not close enough to the date or is the Saturday thing throwing it off?Any help is appreciated.
AaronJB Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. Not sure why your bids haven't been successful - maybe a busy period and hotels are not being aggressive with discounting, or the weekend? I'm seeing the LQ Cocoa Beach on HOTWIRE for $85 on the regular rate side of the service for 11/3-4.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
chapel29 Posted September 19, 2012 Author Report Posted September 19, 2012 Would that La Quinta be the Oceanfront? I was kind of assuming that was the one in Cocoa.I have the La Quinta Cocoa Beach (non Oceanfront) Booked at $90 a night as backup right now. I suppose since I am few weeks out from my date needed, I can just cycle through my previous bids as I get closer to the date.
