Hello Again All,

Planning a trip for friends in October and aiming to start the bidding process for the whole trip Thursday US time. Have recieved strategy already for Disneyland and await San Diego in another thread. Below is part 3 of the trip.

Trip details:

Accomodation in all cases will be for 2 adults & 2 children (ages 10 & 11) who are quite capable of sharing a double bed together. (I would appreciate if anyone percieves any problems with this number of people in a single room in either the 4 star options or Venetian they let me know).

Also happy to use either PL or Hotwire pending advice from the experts on this board.

16th - 18th October (inclusive) - Las Vegas. Yet again not overly fussed other than wanting something centrally located and on the strip. Probably most confused about this component of the trip. Would be happy with a 4* property (Luxor, MGM Grand, NYNY, etc, I dont know alot about Treasure Island / Alladin?) at a budget of around ? $80per/night but have read that some advise against using PL for 4* LV Hotels? Would also (of course) be willing to pay the $99 which has occassionally gone off for the Venetian (Although again wondering about any issues associated with the 4 per room?). ANY help here greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance for any advice / suggestion / bidding strategies / etc that anyone can provide.

Cheers

We can certainly suggest a strategy to try the above for a 4*, but i don't think you'll be successful at your bidding limit... it would be more realistic to raise your bid or lower your star quality. Here are some price i found:

Imperial Palace thru QB for $76/nite (lower than a 4*, but great strip location)

Treasure Island for $135

Exaclibur can be had for $100/nite

Monte Carlo for $145/nite and one of the better pool areas on the strip

Is the route of this trip flexible? May (i haven't looked) be better off hitting Vegas on the way back rather than on the way out (or vice-versa, haven't noticed the date order of your threads)
