traveller98 Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 I tried bidding 9/27 to 9/28 right after winning my bid for the Waldorf Astoria for $150 from 9/28 - 10/1 yesterday. I tried bidding up to $165 but did not win.I tried again today in for a 4* hotel in zone MTE starting at $140.Was asked to raise my bid to $169 without changing any criteria, but rejected it.Instead I added a free re-bidding zone and tried at $145 - got rejected.Added another free re-bidding zone and tried at $147 and got accepted at the Waldorf again :) Saved 61% off the price.I've read reviews that they're doing some renovations in the lobby, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with winning my bids at such a good rate.Summary of ChargesRoom Cost (avg. per room, per night): $147.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1Number of Guests Per Room: 2Number of Nights: 1Room Subtotal: $147.00 (USD)Taxes and Fees: $38.14 (USD)Total Room Cost: $185.14 (USD)
