Hotwire Hotel: 4.5* Las Vegas (Strip North) Caesars

Hi - with the help of this site I successfully bidded to get two nights at Caesars Palace for $84 a night. I THEN found a cheaper rate on their website for its lowest tier room ($69). I immediately called Hotwire, and they refunded me the difference of the room rate before tax (but not the cost of taxes at the higher rate).

I can only hope that the room we get is very nice - making this a true steal. I saw a terrible review on Vegas Chatter of someone whose hotwire bid got her the lowest tier room, and was not too thrilled of its quality. I saw another reviewed in this forum write he got one in Palace Tower. Can anyone else advise what room they have gotten?

I already emailed hotwire support to ask what room I'll be getting and am waiting for their answer. I was told on the phone that they assign the Run of House room. I am getting in the morning of a Wed and staying through Thu. What do you think are my chances?

If I end up with a Roman room, should I bother with the $20 trick, or ask nicely while hanging onto a $20, or any advice/tips? THANKS.
