I was looking for a hotel in the Magnificent Mile area for around $150 for 4 people on a weekend (unrealistic, I know), so this seemed like a good deal. Taxes and fees are crazy! They're $185 -- more than the price of the room for a night. I'm pleased with my purchase, though. I would've gone through Priceline but was worried about getting a room with only one bed, and since there are four of us, that won't work.

Not sure if it is the case here, but i believe some properties don't add the extra person charge into the room rate but rather it gets added to the fees/taxes amount, which could explain the high taxes/fees for this property.Thank you for sharing your win with the board.
