Priceline Hotel: Priceline Counter Offers

I have a question but hesitated to post it under the threads I have already started so I am going to ask here.

Someone else posted this and I don't understand..

"Next day I bid $85 for 3 1/2 * Downtown Toronto South..rejected but was told for $102 I could get this..I refused

Again added Burlington - Oakville South at $88"

When do you get told that for $102 (or whatever price it may be) that you could get that room? I don't recall ever seeing that..does it come via email?

This is a counter-offer and is given on the screen where you are told that PRICELINE couldn't find a hotel to accept your bid.
