Priceline Hotel: Miami South Beach /South Beach Central / Downtown

Hello,

i just came across Priceline and this messegeboard.

Therefore I tried the searching hints and ideas for bidding, including the overview of succesful bids.

But I still need some help in the following case:

From January, 5th until January 12 we will stay in Miamy before flying back to Germany.

For these 7 nights we (2 persons) are looking for a 4 star accomodation in the following areas :

- 13 South Beach - Central

- 14 South Beach - Collins Avenue Oceanfront

- 15 South Beach - Ocean Drive

- 7 Miami Downtown.

I started in the area of 100$ up to 130$ and was rejected.

What would be a good guess, or should I lower the star level.

I'd start low and gradually increase, but for a 4* hotel in one of the zones above i'd guess you're likely looking at the $165-$185 range... do you want to increase your budget, lower your star rating, or wait it out and hope for lower prices in the weeks ahead?
