I will be looking for 3 rooms and I am 5 weeks away . Is it better to wait or start now for a 4* hotel ?

This is a very busy/expensive period in NYC, and - especially with three rooms - it's best to start now and be persistent in trying to lock something in. How many people are in the party (in terms of adults/children) and what would be the desired budget per room/per night, as well as which zones would be of interest?

I gave up trying priceline for Oct 3 thru Oct 6 after trying 6 different zones,

3 thru 5 stars, bid up to $225 . Booked hotwire with tax $305 per night
