Priceline Hotel: 3* New York City (Empire State Building) Courtyard New York Manhattan/Fifth Avenue

I'm looking preferably for a 3 star hotel (or higher) in the vicinity of CPS for two nights. but since I understand it is an expesive time of the year, I could also settle for a nice 3* level in Chelsea, ESB, MSG, MTE, MTW, LES, Soho, TS and CPS.

In a previous post Thereuare warned me about the Hudson Hotel and its tiny rooms in CPS, but I really don't mind, since I'll be on my own and just want to save money. I'd like to spend around $150 per night, $200 max.

Any advice on prices or bidding strategies would be very welcome.

I followed a bidding stratetgy posted earlier by thereuare and ended up paying $155 + taxes for a room at the Courtyard New York Manhattan/Fifth Avenue.
