I'll be travelling alone so would like a safe location in a central area where I can walk or bus to the many sites and activities. I'm looking for a 3* - 4* hotel and would like to keep the price under $150 if possible. I've noticed that Mayfair/Soho and Bloomsbury were 2 areas that were recommended in another post but this may be out of my budget range. It's all a bit overwhelming so any suggestions re strategy would be most appreciated. Thanks!

This was a special offer. Good reviews and good location so I'm happy with this deal. Just wanted to update you so that you can close this thread. Thanks!

peacenik18 Posted September 14, 2012 Report Posted September 14, 2012 I stayed at the Millennium Gloucester in 2011; they're connected. It's a nice hotel and literally 100 feet from the opening of the Gloucester Tube stop on the Picadilly line. I'm a single woman, 5'2" and 120lbs. I felt so safe in that area during both the day and night! Maybe I missed it, but did you use PRICELINE for this reservation?
