Priceline Hotel: The Strip for 9/21-9/23

Hello!

I'm trying to book a 4* or 5* on the Strip (North or South) for 9/21-9/23. This weekend is exorbitantly expensive, which sucks. The best rate I have seen for these dates is $225/night in that star range*. Is $170 a good place to start bidding?

I was contemplating starting with just North (since we prefer it) so I could add South to get a re-bid too - is this a good or not good strategy?

*My friend who is coming with me gets a friends & family discount on some hotels through a family member that works at one, which I didn't count in this "best rate" - but those rates are about the same as the opaque rates I'm seeing on Hotwire. If we can do better than those all the better!

I believe this is the weekend of the IHeart Music Radio concert and that is at least one reason for the high rates you're seeing.

We need a bit more info in order to suggest a strategy for you to follow:

-are you willing to pay more for a 5* vs. 4* OR is your goal the least expensive 4* or better for this trip

-are you willing to pay more to stay in the Strip North zone vs. the Strip South zone OR is the least expensive of the two zones the goal for this trip

-what is your maximum bid
