Our trip will last ten days from Nov 1st till Nov 10th. We are interested in finding 3.5 * hotels or better.Question: Which do you think is the best bidding strategy??? thereuare Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 The budget is 150-170USD per night!We can try, but note that this may be difficult for a 3.5* or better for these dates, which include the timeframe of the NYC Marathon which historically is often one of the busiest dates of the year.There are no preferred areas.Somewhere in Manhattan not very far from an MTA station!A win in the Downtown-Financial zone would likely be near a subway station, but it could be 20-25 minutes each time you want to get to midtown if most of your plans take you to that area... would this be acceptable?Also, note that when bidding 3.5* and lower:MTE - some 'known' hotels can be up to a 15 minute walk to the subway... is this acceptable?CPS - has the Hudson Hotel, which while well located, has notoriously small rooms (~140 sq. ft.).. is this acceptable?Let us know the above and we'll take it from there.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Looter Posted September 9, 2012 Author Report Posted September 9, 2012 Thank you for your prompt response.3.5* hotel is our minimum , nothing less will be acceptable.Most of our daily activities will be around SOHO area thus a hotel located in the Downtown-Financial zone will be acceptable.10-15 minutes walk from subway is acceptable.We are going to stay for 9 days therefore a hotel with such a major problem as tiny rooms will not be acceptable.Waiting for your comments.Thank you.
