Priceline Hotel: Wanted: Downtown KC Oct 5- Oct 8

Rooms seem to be quite expensive. I am hoping to stay near the Power and Light district in downtown KC (Hotel Phillips, Marriott, Aladian, etc). Can you help with bidding strategies to ensure I get the desired area.

If you search for 'Kansas City, MO' using the PRICELINE search box on the top right of this page, are you willing to stay anywhere within the boundaries of the Downtown-Crown Center zone OR is only part of this zone acceptable?

What is your desired star rating and maximum budget per nite?

I would prefer to stay near the Power and Light district (north of crown center) but I see all those hotels are sold out on their web sites so I am assuming PRICELINE will not have inventory? Budget - i would have said 75 a night but I realize now it's going to cost me more - 140 (taxes in would be great). 3*+

You can't bid on a specific hotel or location within the zone when using PRICELINE, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose.

With HOTWIRE you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property (and thereby also have a guess as to the location), but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel or location you're hoping for.
