We would like to stay in a 5* Hotel the week of 9/20-23 but I have not been able to get a hotel on priceline for under $190 in Strip South. I don't want to check Strip North because we don't want to be stuck at Trump. Any suggestions? Thanks.

At the moment, the Trump is in the Las Vegas Strip Vicinity North zone, so you can safely bid the Las Vegas Strip North zone.

You can zoom way in on the Priceline main map or pull up those "detail maps" for the individual zones. And then locate the Trump and verify it is within the shaded area of the Las Vegas Strip Vicinity North zone.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

If you haven't yet, please read your messages.

I don't think you're too far off and another $10-$20 may be the difference between success/failure at this point in time. The best rate i'm seeing at a 5* hotel for these dates is $283/nite so even at $190-$210 that's not too bad of a deal and still has some significant savings. Are you willing to increase your maximum bid? If not, is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? (although i'm not sure how much this would help)

I'm looking for the same weekend, same vicinity, but less nights (check in 9/21 check out 9/23) so I thought maybe I should add onto this thread. Let me know if I should actually start a new one.

Question - on Priceline I'm only seeing Strip North & Strip Vicinity South - no Strip South without the vicinity - the zone doesn't appear to include much outside the strip though. Any idea what's going on there?

I'm looking for a 4* or 5* in Strip North or South. Prices are through the roof this weekend - grrrrr. The best rate I have seen for these dates is $225/night in that star range. Is $170 a good place to start bidding?

Thanks for your help! :)

[edit] we prefer Strip North, but don't mind Strip South, so we might start with bidding there and then we can get a rebid by adding Strip South - is this a good strategy or should we start with both zones?

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

Please start a new thread with the details of your stay (desired zone, star rating, budget) and we would be happy to offer suggestions.

Additionally, Strip South is the same as Strip South Vicinity.
