cmorenorn Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 I'm looking for any advice/assistance for acquiring a 3.5 star and higher hotel in NYC for Sept. 15-17, 2012. We are on a tight budget and would like to keep cost per night below $250. We are active and don't mind walking, but would like to stay within short walking distance of Times Square. We are unfamiliar with the city so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
thereuare Posted September 5, 2012 Report Posted September 5, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding!Few questions/comments:1) you will spend far less time in Times Square than you think... it's neat to see with all the lights and people, but most 'attractions' are outside of this immediate area2) if you decide you still require 'walking distance' to Times Square, just how far is that... 10 minutes, 25 minutes, etc? What if it were a 25 minute walk but only a 5 minute subway ride?3) if you could get a 4* hotel within your budget would that be desirable OR would you prefer a less expensive 3.5* property?Let us know the information above and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
