Hotwire Hotel: Washington. D.C.

Hi,

I would like to visit Washington D.C. sometime in October. Recommendations to a 4* star hotel or higher that is close to the local sites ie.. White house, Lafayette Square, Capitol Hill, etc.. and close the Metro would be greatly appreciated. What was the best bid on these hotels. Thank you in advance for your help.
