littledog1 Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 Two adults and teenager will be in new york city october 4 through 8th. would like a 4 star . preferably middle or upper west side although will accept any deal in in any good area. I will accept 3 star if necessary although I find that I am not disappointed with price line 4 star. I have been disappointed with priceline 3 star in larger cities. I like hotwire because of the guarantee to accommodate 3 persons. we can however, deal with only one bed. Hotwire rates of $370 - 500 before taxes are higher than I would prefer to pay. I would like to stay under $240 before taxes per nite if necessary. I have just started price line search at 60% off median price. I expect first bids to be denied.Any suggestions. Thank You.

AaronJB Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Please post a separate thread for the Sheraton win mentioned in your previous Chattanooga thread. For the Empire State HOTWIRE listing, just to confirm, if you click 'see details' and then scroll all the way down on the detail page, are you seeing: "This hotel typically charges all guests a resort fee regardless of how the room is booked. The hotel collects this fee of about US$ 25 per room per night directly from you, so it won't show in your Hotwire® total."?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

littledog1 Posted September 4, 2012 Author Report Posted September 4, 2012 I am traveling with 2 adults and a teenager in new york city october 4-8. I have checked hotwire hotels for 2 adults only because child has alternative accomodations if hotel room is too small for the three of us. I have been bidding pricelinefor various zones but already up to 185.00 with no acceptance although i may keep trying. I am attempting to stay OUT of soho, financial district and prefer upper west side. I am willing to stay midtown, uper west, upper east, chelsea park south .Hotwire has three hotels I am considering.
