tobius Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 I have been trying to bid on a 4* in Millennium Park, Loop & Grant Park Area in Chicago for a 4-day stay, September 25-29. I started bidding at $75 and went up to $110. Any ideas on how close I am on getting a deal on Priceline? Many thanks.I have been using the PRICELINE link on your site.
AaronJB Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 I'm guessing $125-140, although given that HOTWIRE is showing the Hilton Towers for $159, I'd hope that a win will likely be had around the $120-125 neighborhood.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
tobius Posted September 1, 2012 Author Report Posted September 1, 2012 Thanks. I just bid up to $130 but was unsuccessful. Would you recommend going up to $140 next time or waiting a few days in case prices fluctuate?
AaronJB Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 The Hilton is showing at $179 on the regular rate side of the service this evening. I'd try $135, then $140 but no higher than that at this point if that's not accepted.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
tobius Posted January 11, 2013 Author Report Posted January 11, 2013 I ended up taking the regular $179 rate.
